People who know themselves to be joined with one another, a community in which there is room for security and encouragement, comfort and challenge; a place where you can be yourself and where you are summoned to be who you are.

People who know themselves to be joined with God: a faith that is passed on, formed and practised, that is deepened by experience of life, by struggle and by pain; faith that is alive to the very small and the very big questions of life.

Statement of principle of the Remonstrant Church: The Remonstrant Church is a community of faith which, rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ and true to its principle of freedom and tolerance, seeks to worship and serve God.

Remonstrants Most Remonstrants place a lot of emphasis on a personal faith. What binds them is the statement of principle. In addition to that, most write their own declaration or profession of faith when they become a member of the community. Remonstrants are by no means always in agreement with one another on questions of faith and social issues. Nonetheless, they know that the message of the Gospel can not be separated from the concrete choices in the struggle to live and live together on the part of individuals, groups and peoples on the road to peace and justice.

Community of faith A practice ground where the story of man may chime with the story of God-with-man, where trails are traced from past to future, where - sometimes for an instant - God is experienced.

publications: The Remonstrant Chrurch has published a number of monographs on subjects like: social consciousness, spirituality, development co-operation, nuclear armament and liturgy.

Confession 2006 The general assembly of the Remonstrant Church of June 10, 2006 accepted a new confession.
